The Hild & Brigid Rooms
These are vaguely north-west facing rooms, so the insulation has been seriously beefed up to keep them cosy. The afternoon light in these rooms is beautiful.
Those new timber sash windows with lead weights are in here too, in new openings - have a look at the wonderful stonework framing them outside - and these rooms are special because they give you just a mere glimpse of Bamburgh Castle, and the sea. You have to crane your neck, but they're there.
These ensuite rooms have a bath, with a cleverly-designed shower area at one end. But this is a picture of the toilet.
So that’s it! Well, you don’t want me to take you into the loft, do you…
