St Cuthbert's House is a former Presbyterian church building, built in 1810. It's in the quiet hamlet of North Sunderland, adjacent to the popular village of Seahouses, on the Northumberland coast.
We’ve renovated this historic former church, to create a luxurious and beautifully designed house for up to twelve people. It’s a Grade II 'listed building', with its charm and history preserved - but the renovation has enabled us to incorporate every modern convenience and some luxurious touches into the six ensuite bedrooms, and the beautiful, functional living spaces.
The house is so much more than simply a place to stay…it’s a place to inspire and stir you, and to provide a memorable experience of hospitality.
We hope you’ll enjoy browsing our site, and that it will provide you with all the information you need.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call Jeff and Jill Sutheran on 01665 720456
(+44 1665720456 if calling from outside the UK). You can find some information about us, and something of our personal story, here.

A website can only convey so much though…we hope you will come and experience for yourself the beauty of the house, of Northumberland, and of the welcome you’ll receive! We look forward to welcoming you...
You can check the local BBC weather forecast for Seahouses here and then compare it with this one. We'll likely end up with something slightly different to both...
Our Access Statement is here. If you can see a way we can improve anything, please let us know.
