www.stcuthbertshouse.com is us
Most of the stunning photographs taken inside the house which you see around the site were taken by Brian Young from down the road, and we enjoyed working with him immensely during that process. He's a good bloke, as well as a great photographer. The ordinary looking photographs, we took ourselves.
The photos on the Walking page are courtesy of Northumberland Coast AONB & Gavin Duthie
After many years sporting a static html site, we decided it was time to move to a CMS-based, responsive website. Many of us now use phones or iPads to look at this stuff of course, and our old site just didn't cut it in that department. We had drawn up a very clear idea of what we wanted it to look like and how we wanted it to behave, so we took that blueprint to our friend Dave Sage who lives a few miles away in Wooler, who weaved his magic to turn it from a piece of paper into a fully functioning website. We've ended up with a site which behaves exactly as we asked, and then some. Dave is a lovely guy to work with, and kept smiling and being nice to me even when I asked him to change something and then change it back because we liked it better the first way. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
Dave also hosts our site for us, using a company which is serious about carbon offsetting and reducing their energy consumption on a per-client basis. They approach these issues with honesty and integrity, and we appreciate that - because it fits nicely with our own approach to our business and our life.
If you find something which is broken or missing or doesn't work as it should, then please let us know.
So, we hope you enjoy the site, we hope you enjoy Northumberland, and we hope you enjoy St Cuthberts House.
